Regarding the milk thing, I mean, the internet tells me we slaughter 900,000 cows per day. If some of their bones end up in landfills, then those would probably be found by archeologists first and foremost.
Although, then they might also think that cows were the dominant species and they were milking us.
Well, except they might think chickens were the dominant species, since 200 million of them get slaughtered per day.
Which brings us to the age-old question: Who would win a fight? 1 cow or 222 chickens?
That’s a lot of calcium to just throw away. I also know that bones are used in the production of gelatin. Nothing in today’s capitalist world totally goes to waste, if money can be made, of course.
Yeah, I was wondering, if any would even end up in landfills. Bone meal is probably the biggest use, which is a fertilizer.
And even if you do just want to get rid of the bones, typically trash gets burned before it goes into landfill. And I believe, bones largely burn up. (I decided against looking that up. 😅).
At least, the burnt bones would presumably be unrecognizable to archeologists…
