    I had a friend once that thought that “Battle Creek” was something like an active warzone where, inexplicably, cereal manufacturers were caught up in the mayhem. This immediately conjured to mind images of Lucky the Leprechaun loading howitzers with a complete breakfast, and Cap’n Crunch leading the charge to reinforce units defending a shipment of crunchberries.

    Sometime in the 1970s cereal manufacturers decided that the word “sugar” could no longer be on the box. Sugar Frosted Flakes became Frosted Flakes. Super Sugar Crisp became Super Golden Crisp. Etc
