I actually don’t particularly care about either one, but some people who hated corporate memphis must be seething at how it got replaced.
For those, like me, who have no idea:
I hate corporate Memphis as well, but I do not get the meme.
people hated on corporate memphis, and wanted it to be replaced by something.
well, it got replaced by these generic AI artstyles, which are that way because the gen ai they use is based off the same data set, and no one bothers to put any creativty into the prompts.
turns out the real slop was corporate art all along
From “Corporate Memphis” to “Corporate Mephistopheles”.
Am I the only one that kind of like corporate Memphis?
I am not saying they are artistic, but minimalist. It purposely doesn’t have much details and depth so the viewer doesn’t really focus on it and just gets a pretty simple idea or emotion from it.
It’s like hating elevator music cause it’s not the type of music you would listen to recreationally.
I think the reason it’s hated is because of the “users” of this type of imagery (megacorporations) and the context it is used in. It is literally engineered, painted by numbers to make the ones displaying it seem more human(e), as having a soul, when its true purpose is to “increase engagement”. People hate it because this type of imagery is usually accompanied by slogans like “We value your privacy”, followed by a meter long paragraph describing all the ways they collect and use your data.
Except I do hate elevator music because it’s shitty music.
Fuck you, one day I’ll have something like this.

Pee-wee’s-playhouse-core
I love the original Memphis. It feels like I’m on a weird 90s spaceship
Or just in the Telly Tubbies dome

Legally Distinct Tardis.
I hated corporate Memphis.
Now I hate AI art.
I still hate corporate Memphis though, it’s still awful.
If AI is so smart why are the expressions different in each. Not only does the style change, but the tone and her emotion vary.
