… oh, this is the sequel that bombed. Yeah this was the equivalent of showing up on TBS every second Thursday. They were desperate to break even.
Honestly, if you don’t like this movie then you don’t like fun. Sure, it’s ridiculous and cheesy and campy af. That’s what makes it such a joy. I’m just sad there weren’t more of these movies. Would have loved a Cleveland prequel. How DID Snake get caught?

Escape From New York | Deleted Original Opening | Remastered is the answer. What I want is the proposed sequel ‘Escape from Earth’, seems like something many could get behind today.
Ghosts of Mars has Snake-type character. But it is played by fucking Ice Cube even though there’s an actual Jason Statham right there not particularly occupied (Jason Statham with an eyepatch, huh).
I kinda like the comic books about Snake. None of them are extraordinary - but Snake is consistently the best part about them. One of the early ones had him fight against The Terminator trained on Snake. There is also a Jack Burton crossover series that was legit glorious.
