I’ve been posting things that Ethan Klein (host of the H3H3 Podcast) has said and done into the H3H3 Podcast community and the mod decided that relevant content wasn’t good enough to participate.
I’ll take my community ban and won’t fight it, but it’s the very definition of petty mod behavior.

This isn’t PTB, but it isn’t YDI either.
The mod in question gave a clear and valid reason for taking action. While I don’t personally agree that it’s the best specific action to take (a temp ban would have been the appropriate step imo), it is perfectly acceptable to insist on a fan club atmosphere in what amounts to a fan club community. Is lemmy/fediverse the best place for a fan club forum? Hell no, but it is the least bad place that’s publicly accessible.
However, your comments and posts were also perfectly acceptable when using a community on the fediverse. The c/ is hosted here, is public, and you were on topic. As I already said, if the mod in question had taken other steps first, it is possible that you would have left the community on your own, so this isn’t a case of someone being a bad actor, or at least not in a way I can see. That means no YDI.
The other acronyms don’t apply here either. It isn’t an ESH imo. This would be a “people sometimes don’t fit other’s expectations” PSDFOE. Nobody was an asshole that I could see. Nobody was doing anything just to fuck with other people.
Agreed, this seems like the system working as intended, now there is also a place to specifically post h3 snark, this seems like everything worked out fine.
