When it’s that Appalachian style I think it’s considered more bluegrass than country. Country is a pretty gross genre anymore.

Or it’s thinly veiled racism. Or Christian nationalism masquerading as patriotism. Or about how they are drunk again. Or how they want to beat up libs, their 4th wife, their neighbor, etc.

I fucking hate country music. Garbage ass genre made by garbage ass people to appeal to the worst people in the country and give them a pat on the back.

There are some tangential genres that are still decent. Bluegrass still has some proper good people in it for example.
