  • dunno how. i have used it in all my jobs since i was a teenager. i start the convo about how i do it when getting hired, and it’s never a “find out” secret. some folks think “hes just bs” but nope.

    wait till you start a salaried job and while on pto/fto a boss calls you and you take that day back and don’t take pto that day. ;)

    remind bosses that they have jobs to do too.




  • here’s what i have always done:

    if the dates are > 3 weeks out, i am informing. i wont be in. i inform. then i don’t show.

    if the dates are < 3 weeks snd only say a long weekend: again, i inform.

    if the dates are “tomorrow”: i inform.

    that’s all there is to it. if your “policy” is “find coverage” never do that part. managers can manage.
