You know what, I’ve started using em dashes more since the advent of “AI”, in protest. I even learned how to type it out on desktop using its Unicode number, 2014. En dash is 2013, on a related note. Pretty useful IMO.

Alexandrite.app seems to put it in for you with three hypens — neat!
Ah, that is nice! I don’t use it but that’s an excellent feature.
FWIW all major OSes support it without having to remember the alt code now
Mac: opt+shift+hyphen
Windows: win+shift+hyphen
Linux: compose, —
Mobile OSes: hold on hyphen
Does the compose key work with Wayland? I haven’t found a way.
I just use Ctrl+Shift+u, followed by the code point. 🤷♂️
